Tiger philosophy lesson 145:Sharing my passion!

There are 4 things I need to do everyday, which really bring happiness into my day to day  life. This can be for everybody totally different but for me here are the following.

One I need to be totally alone for at least 1 hour  every day, in this hour I feel a deep sense of belonging  and acceptance. In these moments I experience a deep aloneness something which could be  described as a near death experience. After this experience a certain Pease prevails one me.

Second thing which makes me happy, is at least one hour of reading every day. Reading gives me an experience of  pregnancy, it makes place for new ideas, it creates insight, it creates newness in my thinking and understanding of myself and my surrounding.

Third thing which makes me happy is at least 1 hour of   intense physical activity. In which I allow my body to totally exhaust, that not a single breath or level of energy remains in me for doing something else . This gives a certain rush of liveliness, an  experience comparable  with  using drugs. The feeling of blood rushing  through my veins, this creates a strong connection with my body. Majority of us do not experience our body we only experience our head as our total body. But our head/brains/mind is just a part of the total body.

Fourth thing which makes me happy is being productive. That could be in form of work, accomplishments, helping someone, writing this tiger philosophy. Being productive is like giving birth to something new. Is like leaving something of yourself into this world.

Being  in search for  pleasure or happiness is childish. They are by product of our activities.. In search for pleasure or happiness is like a dog that is chasing his tale, not knowing that he will never be able to catch it. Because it is against it’s law of nature. When we pursue what we love, that could be something very very small happiness and pleasure follow us like the tail of the dog.

Sharing my passion!

What makes you happy?

Tiger philosophy lesson 144: Watching the river!

Have I ever told you the story of my friend, who used to sit on the banks of the river? Let me tell you something about this remarkable man.  I never knew him personally. I never even spoke a word to him, but still I consider him the most valuable friend I ever had. He was my self-proclaimed friend.

He used to sit beside the river and watched the river with great intensity. Whenever I saw him he was looking at the river. I saw him sitting next to the river in the cold mornings, during the hot days in the soft evenings, in the rain, under the moon light at the rising of the sun. In the winter, in the summer in the spring . I saw him watching the river when it was crowded, I saw him watching the river when it was dried I saw him watching the river when it was flooding and violent. It was like he became part of the river when he sat there. Like a tree sitting just sitting for no reason at all.  I was passing this river for  years but I never could see the river with the same intensity.

After 10 years he suddenly  disappeared. I did not know where he came from, where he went why he sat there, what was he looking for. He used to sit there for  hours and hours. He was  just gone from  one day to another.

After him I stopped seeing the river. I still sometime go to the same place, but I just can’t see the river like I used to ; alive, radiant, magnificent, glorious and beautiful . I can’t see the river like that without him!

The Biology Of Belief

A difficult to comprehend book.  I was listening to the lectures of Wane Dayer in which he refers to this book and shows his admiration for it. That was the reason I bought this book.

Bruce Lipton  is a cell biologist, who has been researching cells for over 25 years. Through the research of Dr Lipton and other leading-edge scientists, stunning new discoveries have been made about the interaction between our mind and body and the processes by which cells receive information. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology, that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our thoughts. He gives few scientific proves for these theories  and also rebels against the dogma scientist hold these days about the evolution theory ( The survival of the fittest  ) is not  as accurate as it learned to us.

It was quite difficult to understand the scientific aspects of the book. Bruce makes a switch in this book from scientific evidences to  practical side  of our thought process. He  emphasis how important it is to “control” or thoughts, because they  our continuously shaping our  life’s and life of the society in which we are living .

All in all a nice read but difficult to grasp material, maybe I have to read it one more time to really understand him!

The 7 habits of highly effective people

7 habits of highly effective people has become a bible on leadership and management concepts of our time. It is one of the few books which does not talk about quick fixes, it  puts emphasis on fundamental principles. Like the law of nature  there are laws for success and happiness which are  governed by basic principles.

Principles, like honesty, authenticity, integrity, loyalty, discipline, patients, love,  human dignity, contribution, quality, excellence, growth, encouragement, responsibility. We cannot bypass these principles in creating an authentic  and effective personal and business life. True happiness does not lie in quick fixes but in development of a strong character, which is in alignment with the law of nature.

What makes this book even more special is that  Stephen puts relationship with people above everything else and uses a beautiful analogy between business and family life. According to Stephen,  leading a  business is not any different than leading a family or personal life.

He challenges the  existing concepts about personal development, management and efficiency and reflects on those subject from a very different point of view. “The point is not to be efficient but effective, it is not doing things right but doing the right things right.

This book will take you into a journey in which you will discover your own personal leadership.

Tiger philosophy lesson 143: New years eve

Once again we are at the crossroad of the new year. It is a beautiful moment to stop and look inside ourself to evaluate if we are heading in the right direction. To awaken ourself from a dream state and be present in this moment. To reflect, to ponder upon and  to ask the most significant question of all, “How has my life been meaningful so far? ”.  This is not a question for some but for all of us! This question arises in us when we are acting from a responsible position in life.

What has happened in all my honesty to me in the previous year? I have felt fear, frustration, rejection,  sadness, disappointment. Despite everything I have kept my focus  onto that I truly desire in life. I have gained many insights during this journey. I have learned that I can be happy and peaceful despite  problems, difficulties, disappointments, deceases, fears, rejections…  A discontinuity from the outside factors in relationship to  my inner Pease.

I have learned that I have always the choice to choose for that which is in alignment with my deepest desires at any given moment. Continue reading

Steve Jobs biography

Book of Steve Jobs is a great source of inspiration. During the whole book I have  felt great irritation and admiration towards him. Whatever  we think about Steve Jobs,  we must agree that he has revolutionized, the computer, music  and phone industry.

His love for simplicity and perfection is so scary and yet at the same time so inspiring.

One thing  which inspired me the most in his personality was, his ability to focus and totally disconnected from the feelings of other people.  Steve was so direct in his communication that he could insult and criticize somebody till that person was  buried alive of shame,  without feeling even a little compassion or regret for the other. Because of this personality traits and his love for technology art and perfection  made him such a great product developer.

What many people don’t know about Steve Jobs was his love for eastern philosophy. He was inspired by Zen’s minimalistic approach to life which can be seen in Apple’s products. When Steve Jobs was Jong boy he used to walk in  Harry Krishna clothes and  walked  bare footed on the streets. He did not take shower for weeks because he believed it was not necessary for him because he consumed a certain fruit diet.

After reading this book I am inspired to create great products and services which really add  value to peoples life.

Our greatest fear -Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

—Marianne Williamson

Who wants to run a marathon?

I want to run a full marathon (42.2 km)  in beginning of  2013. With a  basic stamina it should be possible to prepare  for the marathon  within  8 to 10 months. It will be a  big challenge but also  lot of fun. Think about it, later when I am  old, sick, ugly and broke, I can tell my children, look my child when I was young I run a full marathon!

I am planning to run the marathon abroad,  maybe in (Spain, Italy, France, Germany, somewhere). Here are few options:

 2013:
Feb 24 Land Rover Malta MarathonMdina – SliemaMalta
Mar 17 Rome MarathonRomeItaly
Mar 17 Marathon Catalunya – BarcelonaBarcelonaSpain
Apr 7 Paris MarathonParisFrance
Apr 7 Milan City MarathonMilanItaly

I have created this schedule for myself  to prepare for the marathon. Starting date 23 aug week 34.  During the preparation I will adopt the schedule a little to my own need and preference.

It would be great to run the marathon together with a small group.  Who wants to run the marathon?

CSA Bron “oh what the fuck, go for it any way”

I had a 4 day very intense personal development training. This  was a follow-up based on my  previous training. In the previous training the focus was on recognizing the behavior patterns and taking decisions  from a  responsible position.

Focus of this training was to  release repressed emotions which we have accumulated in  our body.  Lot of deceases we experience are direct  result of repressed emotions. Headache, shoulder pains, fatigue, laziness, stress are result of repressed emotion. It is our body’s way of telling us to change something in our life.

The training demands high level of emotional and physical devotion. One is continuously confronted with his/her self.  Second focus of the training was to find our core qualities as a person. Living through our core qualities, we can live our deepest desires.  Our unhappiness shows us that we are not living our life in tune with our deepest desires.

After 2 weeks I have my next training. The purpose of this training is to create  a life which I truly desire. By divining 3 desires which are in alignment with my core qualities and accomplish them within the period of 3 months.

The mantra is, “OH WHAT THE FUCK, GO FOR IT ANY WAY!”
